About the Course
This concise qualification consists of two mandatory units, which cover the core research analysis and group-working skills essential to practising or potential middle managers. Attendance is over 11 weeks during the evening.
Course Content
The two units are:
- Understanding the Management Role - examines organisational structures and functions, the roles and responsibilities of middle managers and the effect of communication and interpersonal skills on managerial performance.
- Developing Management Skills - concentrates on developing skills in information gathering and analysis, plus reviewing research, together with essential group discussion and evaluation skills.
Assessment
Assessment is by the completion of one work-based assignment, which is completed towards the end of the course.
