Entry Requirements:
This qualification is suitable for those who are deemed to be in a full teacher* role or would like or require a full level 5 qualification allowing them to teach in the lifelong learning sector. It is also suitable for those seeking career progression within their area of work who have access to a minimum of 150 teaching practice hours (whether pre-service or in-service), teach on a one-to-one and/or group basis for a variety of learners, across a minimum of two levels.
You must also be appropriately qualified in the subject/area in which you teach and you must be able to demonstrate you have the communication skills necessary to undertake the written assignments.

About the Course
This qualification is structured as a core and option model, supporting the development and acquisition of the skills, knowledge and practice required of the full teacher role. There are 360 contact hours over two academic years (directed study time) and 840 non-contact hours (self-directed study), which includes 120 hours of teaching practice.
Assessment
You will be able to gain accreditation by completing a series of assignments and a minimum of eight observations.
