Art, Design, Media & Performing Arts Shows, June 2010

Performing Arts students will be presenting their two final performances of the year at the Chrysalis Theatre with a modern interpretation of Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing" at 7.30 on June 9th and a performance of "High School Musical", another updated twist on the Bard's famous "Romeo & Juliet" on Friday 11th June at 7.00.  Tickets for "Much Ado..." are available from Gemma Varja on 07769 272278 and for "High School Musical" from Rebecca Burbidge on 07930 839987. Tickets are just £6.00 (£4.00 concessions.) Get your tickets now for these fantastic performances and celebrate the achievements of our talented students.

The following week, this year's Art, Design & Media exhibitions kick off and this year will be taking place here on College and UCMK premises, putting our two Art & Design "home sites" on the map. The shows will be over a three week period between 14th June and 2nd July and will be in three phases, with students from different programmes exhibiting during each of the three weeks.

The locations for exhibitions are rooms 232 and 217 and the Atrium Gallery space at Bletchley where all our 14 - 19, levels 2 & 3 students will be exhibiting and the gallery space at UCMK, 200 Silbury Boulevard, Milton Keynes where Foundation Degree students' work will be on show. Parents, families, friends and other invited guests will be joining us to celebrate the students' success at the private views which will be taking place on each of the Wednesday evenings, 6.30 - 8.00.  

You can see an extensive range of work including Graphic Design, Painting, Sculpture, Photography, Interior Design, Textiles & Fashion, Mixed Media and Printmaking as well as film and moving image. We hope you will take the opportunity to visit the exhibitions and see the culmination of another successful year for our students.
